Sony PMW 200 Camera

The PMW-200/100 is a highly compact and high-performance XDCAM camcorder that uses SxS memory cards as recording media. The imaging device used in the PMW-200 camcorder is a 1/2-inch type triple-chip “Exmor” CMOS sensor, and the PMW-100 camcorder uses a 1/2.9-inch type single-chip “Exmor” CMOS sensor. Both have an effective pixel count of 1920 × 1080. Either the UDF or FAT file system can be used with recording media.

Configuring for BCIT Magazine

Reset the camera

  • Others Menus -> All Reset ->Execute

Set the camera format

  1. Country -> NTSC Area
  2. UDF/FAT: FAT
  3. HD/SD: HD
  4. Format: HQ 1920x1080/59.94i

Format your SD Card Set timecode

  1. TC/UB SET Menu
  2. Mode: Preset
  3. Run: Rec Run
  4. Setting: 01:00:00:00 (then select “SET”)
